Maintenance Technician- Affordable Housing Community Charles Tini & Associates Inc., a Regional Property Management firm with over 45 years of experience and a growing affordable housing portfolio along the East Coast is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong commitment to service, safety, and regulatory compliance. About the Role The Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity, safety, and cleanliness of a HUD/Tax Credit-regulated affordable housing community. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, and understands the importance of maintaining compliance, quick response times, and strong resident relationships. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily maintenance tasks in compliance with HUD, REAC, and other affordable housing standards • Support unit turnovers to ensure apartments meet program requirements and quality expectations • Maintain a clean and hazard free community environment • Electrical: Troubleshoot and repair wiring, fixtures, and circuits • Plumbing: Repair pipes, fixtures, and unclog drains • HVAC: Assist with heating and cooling system maintenance • Appliances: Diagnose and repair major appliances • Carpentry: Repair stairs, railings, cabinets, doors, fencing • General Building: Roofing, gutters, flooring, drywall, interior/exterior lighting • Safety & Compliance: Maintain door locks, smoke detectors, gas fixtures, and security systems (if applicable) • Assist with pre-REAC inspections and remediation tasks • Experience in affordable housing, HUD, Tax Credit, Section 8, or similar regulated housing preferred • Strong customer- service skills and ability to work with diverse resident populations • Ability to complete work professionally and in a timely manner • Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair • Knowledge or experience with HappyCo software a plus Job Type • Full-time Benefits • 401(k) with company matching • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Employee discounts • Tuition reimbursement • Professional development assistance • Opportunities for advancement
