Shift schedule is 4 days x 10 hours, either from 0630 to 1700 or from 0815 to 1845. On-call is required after department closes until it reopens. On-call days would be about 7 times a month, but these shifts are typically not very busy. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred. Candidates must pass a Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire. The individual must be capable of drawing venous blood and starting and maintaining IVs, among other skills. Travelers are expected to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital. Refusing to float may result in contract cancellation. Modules will be non-billable and must be completed pre-start and annually, based on specialty.
