Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and peripheral procedures in a specialized cardiac cath lab setting. Support physicians by assisting with catheter placements into coronary and peripheral arteries and veins, enabling X-rays, angiograms, and detailed vascular assessments. This contract role offers a variable shift schedule and requires completion of a comprehensive four-month onboarding fellowship combining clinical rotations and weekly didactic sessions. Responsibilities: Prepare patients and assist RNs with room setup before procedures to ensure safe and efficient care delivery. Confirm proper documentation and patient consent prior to procedure start times. Obtain hemostasis safely post-procedure. Operate x-ray equipment accurately and independently, adhering to radiation safety protocols. Monitor and document all procedures accurately in the MacLab system. Assist with procedure room turnover following infection control standards. Maintain professional development through ongoing education, certifications, and participation in workshops. Administer intra-coronary medications per policy guidelines. Perform other duties within the scope of the role. Qualifications: Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences or Cardiovascular Technology from an accredited program. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist (Radiography) credentials. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (BLS required within 90 days if not already obtained). Minimum 18 months of diagnostic radiology experience or completion of an accredited technology program with supportive recommendations. Preferred: Two years' experience in Cardiac Cath Lab settings, including diagnostic, interventional, or electrophysiological procedures, with experience in electrophysiology or interventional labs a plus. Bachelor's degree in Radiologic or Cardiovascular Technology is preferred.
