Mammography Tech in Salem, VA

A rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced Mammography Technologist skilled in 3-D Mammography and diagnostic imaging procedures. This contract position is based in Salem, VA, in an outpatient setting where advanced imaging technology and patient-centered care combine. The role requires expertise with Siemens equipment and proficiency in using the Sectra PACS system for imaging charting. Candidates must be comfortable performing a full range of mammography procedures, including screening mammograms, needle localization, stereotactic biopsies, and specialized techniques such as SAVI Scout and biopsies. Schedule & Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5 days of 8-hour shifts) No on-call responsibilities Qualifications and Desired Experience: ARRT (Mammography) and ARRT (Radiography) certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Virginia State license preferred Experience working in outpatient imaging settings Strong proficiency with Siemens mammography equipment and Sectra PACS Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams with precision Execute needle localization and stereotactic biopsy procedures accurately Maintain accurate patient records utilizing Epic charting software Adhere to facility policies, including the ability to accommodate one call-off per two weeks Salem, VA, is a charming city known for its small-town atmosphere, rich history, and scenic natural surroundings.
