Location: Can be either (2 location options) Bethlehem, PA Lenexa, KS Summary: Our award-winning client is seeking a Manufacturing & Quality Engineer to join their team. In the role of Manufacturing Quality Engineer, pivotal contributions are made to ensure the production of high-quality products through the implementation of quality control procedures, meticulous monitoring of product quality, and optimization of manufacturing processes for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities: Manufacturing Engineering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and workflows. Identify and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Evaluate and select appropriate equipment and technologies to improve production capabilities. Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, tools, and equipment. Conduct time and motion studies to enhance production line efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and disruptions. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes. Participate in new product development projects, providing input on manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. Quality Engineering: Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action investigations for quality-related issues. Perform regular quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Create and maintain quality documentation, including inspection and testing procedures. Maintain and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to address quality improvement projects. Train and mentor production personnel on quality control processes and standards. Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to management. These roles in Manufacturing and Quality Engineering require a diverse skill set to ensure efficient and high-quality production processes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus). Demonstrated leadership in ISO9001 audit and continuous improvement, with experience in IPC610 and IPC620 standards. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering and quality engineering roles. Proficient in lean manufacturing principles and well-versed in continuous improvement methodologies. Comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100. Proven expertise in utilizing quality control tools and techniques such as FMEA, SPC, and Six Sigma. Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with manufacturing process simulation tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of implementing effective solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ideally based in Bethlehem, PA, with a willingness to travel up to 25% to Lenexa, KS.
