Job Details Assess patients across the spectrum of ages - from pediatric to geriatric - utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy that emphasizes language, communication skills, fluency, voice control, and swallowing mechanics. Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise cohesive care strategies. Provide valuable education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond clinical settings. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy to ensure a seamless care experience for patients. Maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development, leveraging continuing education and collaboration opportunities with peers. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA is pending. Licensure & Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Core Skills Expertise in evidence-based methodologies across all age groups, with a focus on developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
