Requisition ID: 43623BR Business Unit: COR Job Description: CDM Smith is thrilled to announce a remarkable opportunity for a Project Controls Analyst to contribute to various exciting projects across the U.S.! Collaborating under limited guidance, you will support our project delivery teams by developing both basic and moderately complex cost and schedule baselines. Your responsibilities will include: Collecting and analyzing monthly cost and schedule progress. Identifying and assisting in the analysis of project variances. Ensuring that risk reserves are updated and integrated into financial forecasts. Preparing standardized reports for management review. Implementing financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques while adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will: Ensure compliance with internal procedures and relevant federal/government regulations. Gather project progress information from managers and team members for monitoring basic to moderate complexity projects. Evaluate and update data on schedule dates, physical percent complete, resource needs, subcontractor commitments, and project accruals. Review schedule progress and assess resource productivity. Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts and validate project costs. Monitor actual expenditures against forecasts and the progress of deliverables. Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) for performance reporting. Conduct financial analyses, including variance, risk, and profit/loss assessments, while preparing non-routine financial reports. Document and evaluate how project changes impact cost and schedule baselines. Create and maintain integrated critical path schedules for major projects or portfolios, at a moderate complexity level according to contract specifications. Identify and communicate early warning signals to project managers and recommend resource adjustments to sustain project execution. Generate and analyze earned value reports and assess project execution to ensure it stays within budget and available resources. Prepare client and internal status reports to communicate cost statuses and document project trends. Manage project documentation while following appropriate management protocols. Provide additional support and perform other related duties as needed. Job Site Location: United States - Nationwide Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 3 years of relevant experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Engineering and/or Financial Industries. Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of project management methodologies, including budget development, planning, and control. Understanding of finance, accounting, and business concepts. Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
