Position Summary The Electrical Services Assistant Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Service Manager with daily operations in the commercial electrical service department. This position involves assisting with scheduling, supervising technicians, communicating with customers, ensuring quality control, and overseeing financial performance. The Assistant Manager strives to guarantee that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably while fostering strong customer relationships and maintaining high service standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the commercial electrical service department. Support the scheduling and dispatching of service technicians to meet customer demands effectively. Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians in problem-solving. Review service tickets and job costs to ensure accurate billing and documentation. Monitor job performance to uphold quality, safety, and compliance with codes. Assist in developing and maintaining positive customer relationships. Participate in estimating for small service projects and processing change orders. Help manage tools, inventory, and service vehicles efficiently. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards. Support the recruitment, training, and performance management of service technicians. Track service metrics, productivity, and departmental KPIs to enhance operations. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical work, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Journeyman or Master Electrician license. Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, NEC codes, and safety standards. Experience in service operations, scheduling, and managing job costs. Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in service management or dispatch software is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
