Position Highlights Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics to assess their needs utilizing both standardized tools and observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans that are responsive to short-term goals while thoughtfully considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure cohesive support strategies. Provide education and resources to patients and families that support progress beyond clinical sessions. Support inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the healing journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation according to state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Engage in ongoing learning to stay abreast of latest trends and methodologies within the field through professional collaboration. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment. Essential Skills Strong proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques for a varied patient population, with an insightful grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
