Crisis Line Volunteer for Domestic Violence Support

Make a difference in the lives of survivors of domestic violence! We are seeking compassionate volunteers to join our team by answering the 24-hour crisis line for Ahimsa House during evenings, overnight shifts, holidays, and weekends. No prior experience is necessary – just a willingness to help those in need! As a volunteer, you will receive a comprehensive 10-hour training upon application submission. This training will equip you with the skills to: Assist survivors in planning their exit for safety Identify resources for themselves and their pets Provide information about Ahimsa House program guidelines You can choose your shifts based on your availability, allowing for flexible volunteer engagement. During your shift, you will have access to an Ahimsa House staff member who is available to provide support when needed. All calls are rerouted to your phone, so no in-person interaction is required.
