Job Description The Role As a Global Security Operations Manager, you will oversee site security leaders and ensure quality assurance for contracted security teams at various GM locations within the United States. You will play a crucial role in supporting security and fire protection initiatives, identifying and mitigating risks, and advising site leadership on compliance with global security standards and policies. Responsibilities Direct and supervise security leaders at GM sites. Perform quality assurance audits at designated sites to ensure adherence to the GM Global Security Manual and site-specific standard operating procedures. Assist local site operations and leadership to implement effective security and fire protection measures. Maintain communication with site leadership, including the Site Director and HR/LR Director, about compliance and emerging security issues. Promote continuous improvement in security and fire protection services for assigned sites. Collaborate with the GM Security Technology team to explore enhancements for security systems based on lifecycle and risk factors. Ensure adequate security staffing levels to manage risks and meet GM requirements. Research best practices and recommend key initiatives for implementation. Support the completion of annual security vulnerability assessments, communicating findings to leadership for compliance and risk reduction. Provide recommendations regarding security operations, policies, and technological applications to site leadership. Ensure all incidents are reported and documented as per established procedures. Conduct after-action reviews following significant incidents, identify trends, and communicate corrective actions effectively. Work with GM Investigations groups to maintain awareness of incidents and facilitate timely follow-ups. Required Qualifications Minimum of five years of relevant security experience, showcasing a thorough understanding of security operations, including risk management and quality assurance. Familiarity with video surveillance and access control systems. Proven ability to implement corporate security and fire prevention policies effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Willingness to travel as required (up to 10%). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Experience with manufacturing and warehousing operations. Familiarity with Avigilon and Lenel systems is advantageous. Compensation The salary range for this role is $86,400 - $137,900, based on various factors relevant to the position. This role is classified as hybrid; candidates will be required to report to a specific location at least three times a week. Relocation benefits are not offered for this role. This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and pass a Motor Vehicle Report review.
