DetailsClient Name Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital Job Type Permanent Offering Physician Profession Psychiatry Specialty General Job ID 20243254 Shift DetailsShift Part-Time Days Scheduled Hours 24 Job Order DetailsStart Date 02/20/2026 Job Description Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Psychiatry team at the Inpatient Psych Unit in Muskegon, Michigan, with opportunities for growth, teaching, and a collaborative, supportive work environment. Job Description: Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit. Perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team. Collaborate daily with a fully staffed, multidisciplinary team including APPs, RNs, social workers, case managers, and other specialists. Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to patient-centered care discussions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system. Work a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with built-in flexibility based on provider needs. Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1:4 schedule. Option to pick up additional shifts for extra compensation if desired. Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows within an academic-affiliated environment. Opportunity to pursue additional interests such as research, outpatient care, or leadership roles depending on provider goals and departmental needs Open to experienced Board Certified provider or TRULY Board Eligible recent graduates Open to new graduates and experience Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
