About the Job Summary/Objective The role of the Production Lead is responsible to support the production goals of the company through supervision of manufacturing employees. Plans, assigns work, monitors production standards, safety, and efficiency to ensure production goals are met. Essential Functions: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plans and schedules work assignments for manufacturing employees. Ensures effective employee relations. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution. Provides employee coaching and development. Assists Plant Manager in making employment decisions relating to hiring, disciplining and termination of Production employees. Coordinates special projects as directed by Plant Manager. Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Recommends and implements continuous process improvement in all areas. Manages departmental performance measures and provides regular progress reports to Plant Manager. Assists in investigation of incidents/accidents. Manages departmental scheduling and priorities. Tracks time and absenteeism of Production staff.
