The position requires 24-hour in-house hospital coverage. The locum is required to be onsite for 24-hour stretches. The physician will provide coverage on the labor and delivery floor. Responsibilities include management of obstetric patients, deliveries, emergency gynecologic cases, and inpatient consultations. The practice primarily handles vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and circumcisions. The physician will see 10-15 triages a day plus deliveries. All OB triages are to be managed by the physician on call. The patient demographic includes primarily obstetric and gynecologic patients. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Weekend and on-call coverage is required.
