Schedule Day shift - Weekdays Job Description The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level, requiring minimal supervision while performing essential job functions. ResponsibilitiesProduces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, selecting proper technical factors based on individual patient needs, and utilizing required equipment. Restricts radiation exposure to unaffected parts using collimating devices. Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms. Identifies and labels patient films correctly with necessary details. Develops exposed x-ray films using available processing methods. Completes patient requisitions accurately. Maintains an organized x-ray room as directed by department leadership. Prepares and assists in administering radiopaque contrast media to patients. Handles administrative duties related to scheduling appointments, patient instructions, and record maintenance as required. Provides assistance to patients with mobility needs depending on their abilities. Adheres to standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 1 year of orthopedic experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited school of Radiology Technology and clinical requirements. Must possess a New Jersey State License.
