A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Cardiovascular Surgery Job Details: Work Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM 4-bed Cardiovascular Pre-Op unit with 1:1 patient ratios Stay late 1-2 times per week as needed Float within scope of practice and experience Critical care experience required, Pre-Op experience preferred Must have travel experience - NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS Required certifications: BLS and ACLS Work independently in fast-paced, high-acuity patient environment Perform large-bore IV starts, chin to toe hair removal, medication administration, skin assessments Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement Transport patients to OR and assist with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep Utilize GE Carescape Monitoring equipment and Cerner documentation system Demonstrate excellent communication skills with interdepartmental team Apply strong critical thinking skills and excellent documentation abilities Unit provides uniforms as part of dress code requirements Facility: This flagship medical center is a 815-bed facility that has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals from 2020-2023, placing it in the top 1% of hospitals nationwide for clinical quality.
