As a Firmware Test Engineer, you will be an essential part of the Quality Assurance department supporting firmware development and validation teams. Job Title: Firmware Test Engineer Location:Longmont, CO Pay Range:What's the Job? Design, implement, and debug automated test scripts for SSD firmware based on design specifications and feature requirements. Develop and maintain greybox, blackbox, and whitebox tests to validate firmware features, FTL/backend algorithms, and cross-feature interactions under realistic workloads and stress conditions. Execute functional, reliability, performance, and protocol-level validation, analyze results, and collaborate with firmware engineers to identify root causes and resolve issues. Own the end-to-end test development lifecycle in JIRA, including test development stories, integration tasks, and defect tracking, ensuring clear linkage between requirements, tests, and bugs. Collaborate with global validation teams to align coverage, reduce overlaps, and support customer-facing and system-level validation scenarios. What's Needed? Experience in designing, implementing, and debugging automated test scripts for firmware or software applications. Strong understanding of firmware features, protocols, and system behavior validation techniques. Proficiency with test management tools such as JIRA and familiarity with validation workflows. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data to identify root causes.
