Title: Associate Controller Position Type: Fulltime Staff Search Type: External - minimum 7 days Department: 60R000 - Accounting & Financial Services Division: 4R0000 - Financial Affairs Position Location: Richmond Campus Driver Classification: Non-Driver FLSA: Exempt Schedule Type: Full Time (37.5 hrs per week or more) Hours Per Week: 37.5 - 40 Posted Salary Grade: Exempt - G27 Retirement: KTRS Contact Person: Angela Burrows Job Summary/Basic Functions To assist the Controllers office with all facets of financial compliance and reporting. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. MBA, MPA, or Masters in Accounting or other related business field is preferred. Experience: 5 years of related accounting experience. Supervisor experience preferred. Licensure & Certifications: PA preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Job Duties: 60% - Maintain the control environment on any financial or related processes. As well as oversee the production of schedules for fiscal year end audit. - (Essential) 25% - Oversee the implementation and direction of all finance or related technology (including software) - (Essential) 10% - Work on projects deemed necessary to keep the University in compliance with federal, state, and local, laws and regulations - (Essential) 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential) Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
