This contract position involves performing both basic and critical respiratory therapies per physician orders, adhering to department protocols, and documenting all treatments accurately. Responsibilities include administering aerosol and oxygen therapy, drawing arterial blood gases, ventilator care, pulmonary function testing, and assisting with cardio respiratory rehabilitation efforts. The role also involves supervising new employees, assisting with equipment maintenance, supporting physicians during bronchoscopies, and ensuring compliance with ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) prevention bundles.
