Back-of-House SupervisorLocation: Amos Place – Intercourse, PA Reports To: Restaurant ManagerPosition SummaryThe Back-of-House Supervisor supports the daily operations of the kitchen by overseeing food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating kitchen staff during assigned shifts. This position serves as a working leader in the kitchen, helping ensure that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently while maintaining the high standards expected at Amos Place.The Back-of-House Supervisor works closely with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to support smooth service and timely food preparation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and support team members in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Key Responsibilities Supervise kitchen staff during assigned shiftsSupport daily kitchen operations and food preparation workflowMaintain food quality, presentation, and consistency standardsEnsure food safety, sanitation, and health regulations are followedCoordinate food preparation to support efficient service and timely ordersAssist with opening and closing kitchen responsibilitiesSupport training and development of kitchen team membersMonitor kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment careAssist with inventory organization and supply monitoringMaintain clear communication between kitchen and front-of-house staff Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively with team members across multiple roles. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the dining room and service areas.Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment with frequent guest interaction
