Network Specialist - Senior

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Network Specialist to support a highperformance computing modernization program through On-Site work in Point Loma, CA. This role is ideal for someone experienced in advanced networking environments who enjoys supporting missioncritical systems within secure, highperformance computing settings. Responsibilities of the Senior Network Specialist: • Support architecture, integration, and optimization of enterpriselevel network and system environments, including routing, switching, firewalls, and system interfaces. • Evaluate, test, and implement hardware and software solutions while contributing to systemlevel design, quality assurance reviews, and performance improvements. • Develop and maintain systemwide testing strategies, troubleshooting processes, and documentation for network operations. • Analyze operational requirements, create custom software or utility enhancements when needed, and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver integrated IT solutions. Qualifications of the Senior Network Specialist: • 4+ years of handson technical experience in networking or systems engineering. • Strong background in firewall technologies. • Proficiency in routing protocols, switching, VLANs, trunking, and OSI model principles. • Must be eligible to obtain/maintain Secret-level security clearance • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered). Compensation of the Senior Network Specialist: • Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 (based on experience) • Comprehensive benefit package; Cigna Medical, Cigna Dental, Vision, 401k w/ ADP, PTO, paid holidays, Sick Leave as required by law This job opens for applications on March 6, 2026.
