Position Type: K-12 Teaching Positions/Special Education Date Posted: 3/2/2026 Location: Rush-Henrietta Central School District Date Available: 09/01/2026 Closing Date: 03/27/2026 DESCRIPTION: The district is seeking qualified candidates for tenure-track Special Education positions in inclusive co-taught classrooms and special class settings. Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of child development, individualized instruction, behavioral supports, and data-informed progress monitoring. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring IEPs, collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. Strong case-management skills, organization, and communication are essential to effectively support students' academic, social, and behavioral growth in inclusive learning environments. LOCATIONS: Rush-Henrietta Central School District - Various Schools SALARY: Highly competitive, based on experience and graduate credits, per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract. QUALIFICATIONS: New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education (Students with Disabilities: B 2, 1 6, 7 12, or K 12) is required. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to meeting the needs of students with disabilities across a continuum of services. Preferred qualifications include experience with curriculum differentiation, specially designed instruction, evidence-based reading and literacy strategies, and co-teaching in inclusive settings. Experience developing and implementing IEPs, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with families and related service providers is desirable. Dually certified applicants are welcome; however, candidates should demonstrate a clear professional commitment to working in special education.
