Job Description LVN - IDD - California - ICF Join a dedicated team providing vital services in an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) specializing in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). As an LVN in this 6-bed facility, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized medical care, assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and supporting their overall well-being. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the State of California. Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with IDD or long-term care populations. Strong knowledge of medical procedures, medication administration, and resident care protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with residents, families, and team members. Ability to accurately document care activities and resident responses. Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality, respectful care. Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in an ICF or similar residential care environment. Knowledge of California state regulations related to residential care facilities. Basic First Aid and CPR certification. Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or other relevant languages. Preferred Education and Experience: Licensed Vocational Nurse certification from an accredited program. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in residential or medical care settings, ideally with IDD populations. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to work flexible hours, including possible weekends or overnight shifts. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development. Travel reimbursements and certifications supported where applicable.
