Air Quality Program ManagerEmployment Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Location: Oak Ridge, TN (or Remote) Annual Salary Range (DOE): $100,000 - $125,000Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Air Quality Program Manager to lead and manage complex environmental engineering projects for government and commercial clients. This senior-level role requires a minimum of 10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, proven project leadership, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams from proposal development through project execution. Minimum Qualifications (Required) 10+ years of professional experience in air quality compliance, permitting, and environmental engineering Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering Demonstrated experience managing complex environmental projects and client relationships Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local air quality regulations Ability to lead projects independently with minimal oversight Key Responsibilities Lead air quality compliance and engineering support efforts for government and commercial clients across multiple locations Serve as a technical and programmatic leader throughout all phases of projects, including: Initial client meetings and needs assessments Proposal and technical approach development Pricing, budgeting, and schedule development Engineering design, analysis, and regulatory support Project execution and management Interpret and apply air quality regulations to client facilities and operations Develop and manage air quality permits, including: New Source Review (NSR) Title V operating permits Permit-by-rule or equivalent New construction and modification permits Perform air quality data management tasks such as: Emissions calculations Emissions inventories Database management Prepare and submit regulatory reports to appropriate agencies Lead and support new proposal efforts, including technical writing and cost development Develop and manage project budgets and schedules Maintain frequent interaction with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies Provide periodic/as-needed support in additional engineering areas, including: Other environmental media (water, RCRA, TSCA, etc.) General engineering support (mechanical, chemical, electrical, etc.) Proficiency & ExperienceRequired: Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365) Project Management Technical Proposal Development Budget Development and Management Research, design, testing, and analysis Environmental engineering and regulatory compliance Preferred (Not Required): AutoCAD (LT or Full) or similar drafting/design software Environmental & Regulatory Experience Experience supporting one or more of the following areas is required: Air Quality (primary focus) Water RCRA / TSCA Radiological Government & Agency Experience (Highly Preferred) Department of Defense (DoD) Department of Energy (DOE) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Department of the Interior (DOI) U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) State and/or Local Regulatory Agencies Travel Typical travel is less than 25% Current projects are primarily located within the United States; occasional international travel opportunities may arise Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 Per Year
