Description The Department of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine seeks an Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve on Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital (YNHPH) Adolescent Service in the role of Attending or Medical Director of an Inpatient Adolescent Unit, and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine. Yale-New Haven Hospital is the major teaching and clinical research facility of the Yale University School of Medicine and consistently ranks among the best hospitals in the United States. Yale-New Haven Hospital encompasses the Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital a 118 bed, acute care, psychiatric facility that consists of five main inpatient programs and several specialized step-down intensive outpatient/day hospital programs for adolescents and adults across two hospital campus locations and access to Interventional Psychiatric Services including ECT and Ketamine. The position is as an attending physician (or Unit Medical Director) on the Adolescent inpatient unit, which is a main teaching site for Child/Adolescent training for Yale Psychiatry Residents. The successful candidates will have completed a residency in psychiatry leading to board eligibility or board certification and will have also completed a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship in addition to being licensed (or licensed eligible) within the State of Connecticut. This position carries a faculty appointment within the Department of Psychiatry at the assistant or associate professor level depending upon the candidate's qualifications and experience.
