Job Title: Environmental Data Specialist Location-Type: Onsite in Houston, TX Start Date Is: ASAP Duration: Contract Compensation Range: $25-30/hr W2 Job Description: Support environmental compliance operations by maintaining and validating waste profile data, regulatory documentation, and shipment tracking information. This role supports environmental compliance by ensuring waste profile and shipment data is accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strong in Excel, and capable of reviewing regulatory data for inconsistencies. Looking for someone with strong data entry accuracy and the ability to manage large datasets in a compliance-driven environment. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Update internal databases and shared systems with new, recertified, or amended waste profiles Maintain documentation including approvals and Notification of Treatment Standards forms Perform technical regulatory reviews of waste profile data (DOT, RCRA, Land Ban requirements) Identify and resolve inconsistencies in internal profile records Track and generate reports using advanced Excel functions Validate shipment data for waste tracking and compliance Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory requirements Requirements: Must-Haves: Bachelor's degree required Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry Advanced Microsoft Excel or database management skills Strong typing/data entry skills (typing test required with submission) Ability to research, validate, and organize large datasets Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Nice-to-Haves: Experience with RCRA or DOT regulatory compliance Hazardous or non-hazardous waste manifesting and profiling experience Quality assurance or government regulatory experience Experience working with environmental compliance documentation This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
