Parks Technician

Position Type: Parks/Parks Maintenance I - Full-Time Date Posted: 1/12/2026 Location: Service Center The Park District of Franklin Park is seeking a candidate for Parks Technician in the Parks Department. This position performs a variety of park and facility-related maintenance throughout the year. This will include athletic field maintenance, horticultural maintenance, mowing, snow removal, park and building upkeep, repairs, and improvements. Additional responsibilities include routine preventative maintenance on equipment, park grounds, and buildings, and assisting others in delivering quality recreational service. During the summer months, this position will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the grounds at North Park. Salary: $18 to $20 / hour Salary and Benefits The position is full-time and salary is dependent on qualifications. The position includes a competitive benefits package, including: • Blue Cross / Blue Shield Health Insurance - The employee has a choice of Blue Cross/Blue Shield Blue Advantage HMO, PPO or HSA. The Park District pays 100% of the premium for HMO.
