About the job Accountant / Finance Mgr Accountant / Finance Mgr needs 3+ years of comparable accounting, degree in accounting, experience with big corporate, high volume environments Accountant / Finance Mgr requires: IFRS16 and/or ASC842 SAP proficiency MBA and/or CPA Retail industry experience GL accounting Big corporate , high volume experience Expert Excel ERP systems Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Strong critical thinking and analytical skills In-depth understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties Advanced MS Excel Accountant / Finance Mgr duties: Responsible for various lease-based accounting activities (e.g. accruals/deferrals, lease valuations, sales based rent, etc.). Completes month-end close duties accurately and timely (e.g. recording / approving journal entries, performing variance analysis, etc.). Interacts with accounting partners in North America and across the world Prepares/reviews reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts. Identify, communicate and resolve any reconciling items. Ensures compliance with IFRS accounting requirements, and internal controls. Works directly with internal and external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion of internal audits and quarterly/annual reviews. Proactively identifies and implements process improvements as necessary. Completes special project work as assigned
