Job Summary Our client is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician responsible for handling various duties within the pharmacy environment, such as phone management, dispensing medications, and packing orders. This role involves taking inbound and outbound calls, communicating with patients to process prescriptions, and providing customer service both in-person and over the phone. Responsibilities / Job Duties Rotate duties among phones, dispensing, and packing. Engage in a mix of inbound and outbound calls to/from patients. Communicate with patients to obtain information required to process prescriptions and refills. Handle prior authorizations and maintain patient contact to keep them informed. Process payments over the phone for self-paying patients. Provide in-person customer service for local patients picking up medications. Dispense, package, and label prescribed medications. Pack orders to be shipped via FedEx. Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements Certifications CA Pharmacy Technician License Qualifications Experience with customer service. Good customer service and computer skills. 1+ years of Pharmacy Tech experience, ideally in a retail pharmacy. 2 references (at least 1 recent manager/supervisor). Preferred bilingual skills (Mandarin or Cantonese). Retail or specialty pharmacy experience. Understanding of pharmacy insurance. Experience 1+ years of Pharmacy Tech experience. Skills Customer service skills. Proficient computer skills. Schedule / Shift See above. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
