Job DescriptionHead of Property & Casualty Job Summary Seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join a team as the Head of Property & Casualty. This is a leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, underwriting, or brokerage, coupled with exceptional leadership and operational management skills. Compensation Package Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 (commensurate with experience) Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) Additional Perks: Opportunities for professional growth and development within a well-established and expanding organization Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Growth: Develop and execute long-term strategies for the Property & Casualty (P&C) practice, focusing on revenue growth, market expansion, and service innovation. Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of the P&C practice, ensuring efficient operations, superior client service, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of insurance professionals. Foster a collaborative and professional work environment. Training & Development: Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance team capabilities in insurance-related matters. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate. Market Relations: Strengthen relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters, negotiating favorable terms and staying informed on market trends. Financial Performance: Manage the P&L for the P&C practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. Quality Management: Collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure excellence in service delivery and minimize Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree or professional designation such as CPCU or ARM is a plus). Minimum of 15 years of experience in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry. At least 5 years of leadership or management experience, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams. In-depth knowledge of P&C coverage forms, market dynamics, and risk management strategies. Property & Casualty Agent's License is required. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with AMS360 or similar software is preferred.
