SAP MDG Developer

SAP MDG Developer Location: Raritan, NJ Duration: 8 Months+ Role Overview Key Responsibilities • Design and implement SAP MDG solutions for master data domains (e.g., Material, Vendor, Customer, Finance). • Configure and customize MDG data models, workflows, and UI using Floorplan Manager (FPM) and Web Dynpro. • Develop BRF+ rules, validations, and derivations for data governance processes. • Integrate MDG with SAP ECC/S4HANA and external systems using ALE, IDocs, Web Services, and APIs. • Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Optimize performance and ensure compliance with data governance standards. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. • Support MDG upgrades, patches, and performance tuning • Develop and configure sequential and parallel workflows, including single-step and multi-step change request processes. • Design and implement custom Consolidation and Mass Processing templates, incorporating custom field attributes as per business needs. • Develop and enhance ABAP-based customizations such as BRF+ rules, BAdIs, enhancements, user exits, and validations. • Participate in data model extensions, UI modeling, and custom object development within MDG. • Troubleshoot workflow and data-related issues, ensuring system stability and data consistency. • Implement and manage DQM rules, including rule derivation, validation, and performance optimization • Demonstrate strong understanding and hands-on experience across core MDG frameworks, including: Central Governance Consolidation and Mass Processing Data Quality Management (DQM) Required Skills & Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in ABAP development, including enhancements and customizations. • 5+ years of experience in SAP MDG development and configuration. • Expertise in MDG data modeling, UI configuration (FPM), and workflow design. • Hands-on experience with BRF+, Web Dynpro, and Floorplan Manager. • Familiarity with SAP integration technologies (ALE, IDoc, PI/PO, APIs). • Understanding of data governance principles and master data management best practices. • Experience with SAP S/4HANA MDG. • Knowledge of SAP HANA, CDS views, and performance optimization. • Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps tools. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • SAP MDG certification is a plus
