Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer (Digital Design) Rochester, New York Employment Type: Full Time Work Schedule: 9/80 (Employees work 9 out of every 14 days; every other Friday off) The Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer (Digital Design) will contribute to business success by participating in digital circuit board design and product integration for radios and associated equipment. This position reports to a Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for successfully designing digital circuit boards, supporting product integration, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing introduction and full product lifecycle execution. Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions Support digital and related analog hardware research, design, and development of circuit board assemblies Develop requirements from: high-level use cases product description documents Digital hardware PCB design including: requirements analysis high-level design schematic capture layout analysis Make design decisions and assess technical risks Perform simulations and analysis such as: digital signal integrity Support integration with other subsystems Perform subsystem and system level: verification validation testing (V&V) Identify, track, troubleshoot, and repair assigned hardware defects Ability to obtain US Security Clearance Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree + 4 years prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree + 2 years prior related experience OR In lieu of degree: 8 years relevant experience Preferred / Nice to Have Skills Experience using automation tools such as: Python LabVIEW Knowledge of EMI/EMC design & test techniques (conducted/radiated emissions): MIL-STD-461 Knowledge of environmental testing methods: MIL-STD-810 Basic understanding of RF circuits and architectures Experience with Boundary Scan methodologies and tools Recruiter Submission Template - Full Name: Degree Major with University and Completion year: Eligible to obtain US Security Clearance?
