A healthcare facility in Portland, ME is seeking three pharmacy technicians for a 13-week contract position starting ASAP. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in pharmacy technician duties who hold a Maine pharmacy technician license. Location: Portland, ME Job Type: Contract, 13 weeks Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Rotating weekends Key Responsibilities: Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately. Assist in prepackaging medications for dispensing in compliance with standards and government regulations. Support final prescription checking by the Pharmacist, including medication staging for review and packaging after final checks. Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers. Help maintain inventory by receiving and rotating incoming medication and supplies, logging lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory counts. Collaborate with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean, safe work environment, including equipment calibration, safety checks, and cleanliness. Note: This position does not involve IV preparation; it focuses on fulfillment pharmacy technician responsibilities.
