POSITION OVERVIEW The Vice President of Quality is an executive leadership role responsible for defining, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide quality strategy across complex, regulated environments spanning both manufacturing and construction operations. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and contractual requirements while driving consistent, high-quality outcomes across the full project and production lifecycle. Serving as the organization's senior authority on quality, the Vice President partners closely with executive leadership, operational teams, and external stakeholders to reduce risk, strengthen performance, and support the reliable delivery of mission-critical products and projects. Primary ResponsibilitiesExecutive Leadership & Governance Establish the enterprise vision, strategy, and performance standards for the Quality function. Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of quality leaders and professionals across multiple regions and business units. Define governance structures, decision frameworks, and escalation protocols related to quality performance and compliance risk. Advise executive leadership on quality trends, risk exposure, and strategic improvement opportunities. Develop, monitor, and report enterprise quality KPIs aligned with business goals, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. Quality Strategy & Management Systems Design, implement, and continuously enhance enterprise Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO, FDA, GMP, and other applicable standards. Establish standardized quality policies, procedures, and control mechanisms across manufacturing facilities, construction projects, and operational teams. Ensure quality planning and execution are integrated from project initiation through final delivery and closeout. Lead initiatives to reduce the cost of poor quality while improving efficiency, predictability, and overall delivery performance. Embed quality principles into operating procedures, project execution models, and organizational processes. Risk Management, Compliance & Audit Own enterprise quality risk management strategies, including preventive, corrective, and continuous improvement programs. Lead internal and external audits, client assessments, regulatory inspections, and certification activities. Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, complete, traceable, and audit-ready. Drive timely resolution of non-conformance issues, corrective actions, and systemic quality risks. Strengthen change control and compliance discipline across projects and operations. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the executive point of contact for clients and external stakeholders on quality performance and compliance matters. Provide clear, timely communication regarding quality issues, corrective actions, and resolution plans. Support business development efforts, proposals, and client presentations by demonstrating the organization's quality capabilities and governance strength. Review and approve final quality records, certifications, and project deliverables. Process Improvement & Innovation Champion continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to improve workflows, reduce variability, and enhance outcomes. Drive adoption of digital tools, data analytics, and automation to improve visibility and effectiveness of quality controls. Establish feedback loops and lessons-learned processes to strengthen future performance. Foster a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous learning across the organization. Professional Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in quality leadership within regulated industries such as construction, manufacturing, energy, or engineering. At least 7 years of senior or executive leadership experience with enterprise, multi-site, or multi-project responsibility. Proven success designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise Quality Management Systems in complex, high-risk environments. Core Skills & CapabilitiesIndustry & Regulatory Expertise Deep knowledge of ISO standards, FDA, GMP, and other applicable quality and compliance frameworks. Executive Leadership Demonstrated ability to lead leaders, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment across large organizations. Technical & Operational Acumen Strong understanding of quality methodologies, risk management, and large-scale project and manufacturing operations. Strategic Communication Executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, regulators, and internal leadership. Execution in Complex Environments Proven ability to manage competing priorities, mitigate risk, and deliver consistent results in fast-paced, high-accountability settings.
