Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region as a Chemotherapy Pharmacy Technician. This role involves compounding intravenous medications, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards to support life-saving treatments. Key Responsibilities Accurately compound IV medications with strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper labeling and visual inspections. Maintain and restock IV room carts and automated dispensing cabinets, ensuring 99.8% accuracy in restocking and documentation. Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of Ante and Clean Rooms, including monthly deep cleans. Manage inventory by placing daily orders, verifying deliveries, and assisting with back-order management alongside pharmacists. Complete all mandatory annual education and training requirements. Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience At least one year of experience in sterile compounding is required; chemotherapy compounding experience is preferred. Certification and Licensing Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is required. Candidates must register or apply for pharmacy registration prior to starting. Mental and Physical Requirements This position requires sustained mental concentration and physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
