Description Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric individuals utilizing standard assessments and observational insights. Create tailored treatment strategies to meet immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing aspects. Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate united care strategies. Educate patients and their families to enhance therapy outcomes beyond clinic hours. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the client's treatment process. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations. Remain informed about the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be acquired within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for individuals of all ages, possessing a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary care groups.
