Controller

We're partnering with a well-established, multi-entity supply chain organization serving the food, beverage, and specialty goods space to identify a hands-on Controller who thrives at the intersection of finance, operations, and logistics. This is not a "hands-off" role. It's an opportunity for a senior accounting leader who enjoys being close to the business-supporting warehousing, transportation, and omnichannel distribution while helping scale processes as the platform continues to grow. What You'll Be Doing Own the monthly and annual close across multiple entities Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis tied to operational drivers Ensure accurate revenue recognition tied to warehousing, logistics, and transportation services Partner closely with Operations to align activity data, billing, and financial reporting Oversee labor allocations, payroll-related accounting, and intercompany activity Maintain balance sheet integrity across AR, reserves, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets Oversee cash activity, reconciliations, collections support, and working capital metrics Manage capital assets including fleet, equipment, and facility improvements Design and maintain strong internal controls across all accounting functions Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors Oversee sales tax, property tax, and regulatory reporting Own accounting systems, chart of accounts, and financial master data Drive automation and process improvements to streamline close and reporting Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team while building scalable processes What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of close and reporting Strong GAAP knowledge and audit readiness experience Background in logistics, warehousing, transportation, distribution, or food & beverage strongly preferred Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Operations CPA a plus, not required Ideal Background If you've worked in an omnichannel environment supporting physical distribution, fleet operations, and complex customer billing-and you enjoy rolling up your sleeves while building structure-this role will feel like home.
