Overview RPA San Diego operates as a third-party (TPA), consulting, and strategic management branch for collectively bargained benefit plans, pooled purchasing arrangements and trusts. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to our members. The Supervisor, Benefits Administration at RPA leads the administration of employee benefit programs such as basic and major medical coverage, dental insurance, group life insurance, and other benefit plans for our clients. This position involves close collaboration with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless benefits administration and exceptional client satisfaction and leadership responsibilites supporting direct reports. The role is Hybrid based out of San Diego, CA and requires 3 - 5 years of Benefit Administration experience, as well as Direct Leadership experience. How you'll make an impactSupervises the coordination of administration of the group benefit programs, to include basic and major medical coverage, dental insurance, group life insurance, pension plans, and other benefits Cultivating a culture of customer service excellence within the team Facilitate, manage and monitor client satisfaction through feedback and survey opportunities Work with department leadership in developing team and individual KPI objectives Implement and manage individual performance against KPI objectives Mentor team members through continuous learning, transparent feedback, and strong talent development Developing and promoting best practices in performance management Facilitate informative meetings and team building opportunities Drive efficiency through process improvements Identify any skill and knowledge gaps in business unit and work with department leadership to develop strategies and processes to ensure services meet business and client requirements Observe and monitor processes (workflow process and work instructions), team performance trends and identify improvement opportunities or take remedial action to resolve issues identified Communication with clients on escalated member issues, including billing, staffing, systems, etc Exhibit the highest degree of professionalism and creativity, representing Branch in both client and team situations Utilize safe work practices and follows directives, policies and procedures for assisting and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment Other duties as assigned About YouEducation, Training, and Experience Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience required Employee Performance Management Experience Ability to work hybrid schedule based out of San Diego, CA Desired Strong knowledge of compliance regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level of attention to detail Ability to effectively multitask with competing priorities Ability to effectively manage a diverse employee group Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment Experience in health care, insurance or underwriting preferred Minimum 5 years' management experience preferred California insurance license preferred #LI-LB3 Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position.
