What You'll Be Building and Leading End-to-End Solutions: Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of innovative cloud services and platforms from inception to production at a global scale. Foundational Frameworks: Guide the engineering of new container runtimes and distributed frameworks to drive OCI's highest availability and demanding workloads. Who We're Looking For We seek visionary technical leaders adept at defining and executing large-scale system and data-plane architectures in the public cloud. As an acknowledged expert, you will deliver complex solutions for OCI's networking and storage requirements, mentor senior engineers, drive strategy, and maintain cross-team alignment for the delivery of mission-critical services. You will be recognized for providing technical direction, simplifying complexity, improving operational outcomes, and elevating the engineering standards across the organization. Responsibilities Provide technical and architectural leadership across multiple teams; set and guide short- and long-term engineering directions for core initiatives. Define and drive the execution of foundational services/platforms with global impact. Guide teams in addressing and solving complex, ambiguous problems while balancing innovation, performance, and reliability. Mentor and develop engineers across all levels; promote a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and business leaders to define roadmaps and deliver high-impact outcomes. Drive rigorous code and design reviews, ensuring operational readiness and best practices across the organization. Represent OCI TSO in cross-organizational initiatives, executive briefings, and industry forums. Basic Qualifications BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 12+ years’ experience in delivering distributed, mission-critical cloud services at scale. Proven expertise in writing and reviewing high-quality code in C/C++, Go, or similar languages. Exceptional understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system-level optimization for performance and scale. Extensive experience with networking data-plane architectures (e.g., DPU-based or DPDK-based solutions). Expertise in network virtualization, protocols, and distributed systems design. Demonstrated experience leading operationally critical, Tier-0 platform and infrastructure teams. Preferred Qualifications Deep knowledge of Linux internals, distributed system troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Recognized authority in DPU programming (e.g., P4/Pensando/AMD, DOCA/BlueField) and innovative cloud infrastructure. Record of publications, leadership in open-source projects, or speaking engagements at conferences. Work Location: Please refer to the applicable work address maintained in the postings.
