Position Summary: Join our dynamic team as a Shift Supervisor! This essential hourly role provides key management support during operating hours, directly overseeing our operations and ensuring a fantastic customer service experience. As a Shift Supervisor, you will drive up our standards of cleanliness, hospitality, product quality, and speed of service. You will engage in hands-on operations regularly, assisting in training new team members and addressing guest service needs. This role also involves closing and occasionally opening the restaurant when other management is unavailable. Your mission is to guarantee safe food service, ensure consistent customer satisfaction, and maintain a positive working environment for your team. Duties and Responsibilities: Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor and accurately take their orders. Prepare and package food and beverage products according to our established standards. Manage cash register operations, process payments, and provide change to guests. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the entire restaurant including the kitchen, dining area, and restrooms. Assist with food preparation and dishwashing as needed. Restock inventory and supplies to meet operational needs. Adhere to all food safety regulations and policies. Promote new menu items and provide recommendations to guests when requested. Support opening and closing tasks. Oversee shifts to ensure fair treatment of employees and compliance with labor laws and regulations. Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to team members. Address any safety concerns within the workplace. Report significant issues to the manager and HR as needed. Conduct daily food safety and preparation audits. Perform daily inventory checks and share responsibilities for cash handling procedures. Qualifications: Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Preferably an internal candidate who has completed all required training and certifications. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Minimum of 6 months in a shift management or supervisory role, particularly in a service-oriented environment. Must possess legal right to work in the United States. Willingness to work flexible hours. Basic math and reading skills are necessary. Strong oral and written communication skills. Additional Qualities: Ability to learn quickly with a positive attitude. Arrives to work with hygiene standards and preparedness. Must have reliable transportation and punctuality. Exhibit a friendly, positive, and courteous attitude.
