Wine Specialist

Position Title: Wine Specialist Department: Wines and Spirits Supervisor: Assistant Branch Manager/Branch Manager FLSA: Non-exempt (Paid by the hour) Position Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Wine Specialist to join our Wines and Spirits department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our product selection is well-stocked, properly labeled, and organized while providing exceptional service to our customers. Essential Functions: Comply with all State and Local laws regarding the sale of alcohol (beer, wine, liquor, and spirits). Showcase your expertise in wines and spirits to assist customers effectively. Provide top-notch customer service and collaborate with Field Marketing Representatives, Branch Managers, and department managers to establish relationships with large customers and onboard new accounts. Adhere to license limitations by selling only to customers within their licensed scope. Accurately enter customer license information into the JSS and maintain an updated database of customer contacts. Ensure compliance with payment methods based on State and local regulations. Create visually appealing floor displays. Maintain accurate records of in-store product use. Keep pricing accurate and up-to-date. Organize and restock shelves as needed. Post promotional signs, pricing info, and event calendars. Communicate inventory needs to the appropriate personnel. Be flexible to work in different locations as required. Other Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Skills Required: High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of customer service experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience. Ability to clearly present information and respond to inquiries from managers, customers, and the general public. Excellent communication skills. Strong interpersonal abilities. Commitment to customer service and company values. Valid Driver's License. Willingness to travel frequently. Proficiency in computer applications. Physical Requirements: Lift/Carry Abilities: Lift 50 lbs, Carry strength (50' or less) - 50 lbs, Frequent lift/carry (> 12x/hour) - 50 lbs, Constant lift/carry (> 30x/hr) - 20 lbs. Agility, dexterity, and physical tasks include: standing/walking constantly, frequently reaching above shoulder level, occasionally twisting/turning head, bending/stooping frequently, and occasionally climbing steps/ladders. Work Environment: Working around equipment in motion, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scooters.
