Role Summary The Senior Project Manager is pivotal in directing and influencing the outcomes of highly complex projects or multiple projects. You will be responsible for implementing, managing operations, ensuring profitability, and overseeing all administrative aspects of the projects. Your efforts will align with JE Dunn's vision, strategy, and core values. Autonomy & Decision Making: Make decisions within defined limits, consulting senior management for major decisions. Career Path: Group Manager 1. Key Responsibilities Lead our safety culture by promoting an injury-free environment and mentoring others. Utilize the JE Dunn prestart checklist efficiently. Assist the preconstruction team in developing work scopes, coordinating trades, and advancing bid packages. Direct the buyout schedule, manage pricing, and select successful bidders. Coordinate submittal schedules, review shop drawings, and ensure process efficiency. Work closely with risk management for subcontractor approvals and analyze ongoing risks. Foster collaboration among all project stakeholders including subcontractors, owners, and design teams. Manage change requests and ensure accurate communication regarding project impacts. Facilitate various project meetings and oversee the payment process with subcontractors and owners. Develop and maintain the project schedule, considering potential impacts and ensuring resource availability. Provide thorough documentation on critical project decisions about budget, schedule, and safety. Regularly report on project status and profitability, identifying areas for financial improvement. Lead the project closeout process to ensure compliance with best practices. Collaborate with the company's legal counsel as necessary. Additional Responsibilities Engage in creating a proactive safety culture and address incidents effectively. Understand the preconstruction process from the conceptual phase to GMP development. Lead estimating and productivity analysis efforts. Support senior management in preconstruction client discussions. Manage project business plans to optimize financial outcomes. Participate in community building activities to strengthen external relationships. Handle project issues and uphold diversity and inclusion initiatives within JE Dunn. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Accuracy and timeliness in work performance. Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written. Effectiveness in delivering presentations. Proficient in MS Office and project management/accounting software like CMiC. Solid understanding of construction processes and the ability to manage projects from inception to completion. Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams. Experience with scheduling software and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Education Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. Experience 10+ years of experience in construction management. Working Environment Required: Valid and unrestricted driver's license. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Travel or relocation may be necessary. Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed. Potential exposure to extreme weather conditions. Assignment may involve office and field locations. Frequent activities include sitting and computer work; occasional activities include standing and walking.
