Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Engineer to support our Material Handling Controls solutions. Under the guidance of a Sr. Manager or Director, you will participate in the implementation, inspection, integration, testing, and support of key operational systems. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Project Teams to assist in the installation, inspection, testing, and problem resolution of projects. Support corporate and division MHE enhancement initiatives through evaluations, implementation plans, documentation, and project closure. Contribute to the design and implementation of cybersecurity technologies to protect our systems. Provide training and technical support for automated Material Handling systems. Help prepare detailed operational documentation and support PLC modifications as needed. Work on developing and delivering training materials for operations and maintenance teams to effectively utilize new equipment. Engage in SCADA projects to enhance visualization and control of processes. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary to assist division processing. Perform other related duties as assigned. Experience and Educational Requirements: We are looking for candidates with a foundational understanding of software solutions. A four-year degree in engineering or a related field is preferred, along with at least two years of relevant experience. Required Skills and Expertise: Proficient in SQL Server/Oracle programming. Strong understanding of SCADA concepts and functionality. Experience with User Interface design and optimization highly desired. Familiarity with Visual Studio, Java, or Python programming preferred. Knowledge of Siemens/Allen Bradley PLC systems is an advantage. Experience with HTML and SVG files is beneficial. Capability to write test plans and conduct user acceptance testing is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly related to debugging and interface messaging. General Requirements: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across technical and non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit. Exceptional decision-making and customer service abilities. Ability to manage multiple initiatives effectively while meeting deadlines. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
