In this role, you will oversee a range of public infrastructure projects, primarily focused on roadway and utility construction. If you have a passion for quality construction and collaboration, we would love to hear from you. You Will: Conduct daily inspections on-site for roadway, utility, and vertical construction projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes. Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to safety, quality, environmental standards, and contractual obligations. Create detailed daily inspection reports documenting field activities, progress, and any deviations, along with photographic evidence. Review and confirm contractor quantities for payment and assist with preparing progress pay estimates. Inspect the installation of underground utilities, including stormwater systems, sanitary sewer, and potable water networks. Support QA/QC efforts through coordination and verification of materials testing. Communicate with contractors, design teams, client representatives, utility providers, third-party inspectors, and other stakeholders. Identify and report non-conforming work, propose corrective actions, and ensure resolution is tracked and completed. Assist with project closeout activities, including developing punch lists, reviewing record drawings, and conducting final inspections. Maintain organized project documentation in line with company and client standards. You Have: 5+ years of construction inspection experience, with a preference for public infrastructure projects. Ability to interpret construction specifications and drawings effectively. Strong understanding of local construction standards and methodologies. Experience with water/wastewater utility systems including pipe installation and pump stations. Preferred educational background: Associate or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. Certifications (Preferred): WAQTC, NICET, or similar inspection certifications. OSHA 10 or 30 certification. First Aid and CPR certified. USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors Certification. Ability to traverse various surface conditions and lift up to 50 pounds. Valid Washington State Driver's License is required. Compensation Information: The base salary for this position ranges from $50-$60/hour, determined by factors like education, experience, and role.
