The right candidate will be responsible for assisting the VP of Development in all aspects of multi-family home development, including deal sourcing; making an investment pitch; and pre-development, development, and lease-up duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. Support deal source and underwrite development opportunitiesCoordinate communication and progress with local officials, brokers, consultants, etc.Participate in zoning, entitlement, and permitting activitiesCollaborate in due diligence investigationsSupport underwriting efforts, including an analysis of market information, operational expense data, and estimated hard and soft costsParticipate in establishing a project timeline as well as spending forecastsParticipate in a compilation of components for investment packagesSupport the presentation of development opportunitiesAssist in decision-making regarding product, mix, parking, and designCoordinate with construction personnel as necessary to meet budget and timing targetsStrategize with the internal Leasing Operations Manager and third-party property management companies to maximize returns during lease-upConduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly manages two or more employees in the Operations Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or universityFive to seven years of related experience and/or trainingAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and email Preferred Qualifications Registered planner or engineer preferredStrong communication skillsAbility to multi-task and attention to detail Come join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
