This contract opportunity is for an experienced EEG Technician to support diagnostic testing in a healthcare setting located in Waterford, MI. The role focuses on operating neurodiagnostic equipment to capture and analyze brain activity, aiding in patient diagnosis and treatment plans. Key Qualifications: Credentialed as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) or board eligible through ABRET standards, preferred but not mandatory BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required prior to starting High School Diploma/GED with two years of EEG technician experience, or an associate or technical degree with comparable EEG experience Ability to prepare equipment, review patient history, explain procedures, and monitor patients during tests Familiarity with EEG, EP (Evoked Potentials), and PSG (Polysomnography) equipment operation and maintenance Skill in recognizing and eliminating artifacts to ensure data accuracy Competence in scoring and documenting test results clearly and accurately Responsibilities include setting up diagnostic equipment, educating patients about EEG procedures, monitoring patient status, and compiling comprehensive reports for interpreting physicians. This position contributes directly to patient care by providing high-quality neurodiagnostic data.
