In this role, you will oversee a diverse range of Workers Compensation claims, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions while prioritizing our customers' needs. Your responsibilities will include: Accurately documenting claims files by updating all necessary data and information, adhering to best practices for complex commercial claims. Utilizing analytical skills to determine liability through the collection of relevant facts and application of applicable laws. Verifying policy coverage and making informed decisions regarding the applicability of coverage for claims. Developing and executing strategic case plans aimed at achieving timely resolutions to claims. Setting timely reserves and conducting regular reviews throughout the claims cycle. Calculating damages in accordance with applicable laws to assess the financial implications of claims. Negotiating settlements using effective strategies and resources within your authority limits. Consistently meeting quality standards by following established best practices. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Claims and/or Litigation Management, or a Juris Doctor with a minimum of 2 years in the same field. Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program with 6 or more years of relevant experience may also be considered. High School Diploma Equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in the same area is an acceptable alternative. Must possess and maintain required adjuster licenses. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing high severity litigated Workers Compensation claims for 6 or more years. Active adjuster's license in California. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Experience collaborating with teams and building cross-functional relationships. Ability to share insights and leverage diverse perspectives to optimize outcomes. Comprehensive understanding of insurance policy components for complex claims. Expertise in assessing the financial exposure of complex claims. Skill in effectively communicating coverage determinations to stakeholders. Experience advising counsel on litigation and settlement strategies. Compensation: Your compensation at Zurich reflects your role, location, skills, and experience. The salary range for this position is $83,400.00 - $136,600.00, with potential eligibility for a 15% short-term incentive bonus.
