As a Bakery-Cafe General Manager at Panera, you will lead an energetic team, ensuring the success of our beloved bakery-cafe. Take charge of operations, drive strategic decisions, and foster a welcoming atmosphere where both your team and guests feel valued. Your Responsibilities Include: Oversee all aspects of team leadership, including staffing, scheduling, employee development, performance management, training, and succession planning. Attract, onboard, and train new associates while energizing and engaging your team. Monitor team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals, operational standards, and deliver extraordinary guest service. Develop leaders within your bakery-cafe to enhance expertise in people processes and Panera’s core values. Implement operational procedures to successfully execute company strategies and initiatives. Ensure every guest experiences the quality of our food, service, and staff. Build lasting relationships with our guests to foster loyalty. Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and all relevant regulations. Maintain a safe and healthy workplace that meets Panera’s standards for health and safety. Manage overall costs and inventory of the bakery-cafe. Contribute to a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust. This Role Is Ideal For You If: You are at least 18 years old. You have 3+ years of experience as a General Manager in a restaurant environment. You possess a ServSafe certification or are willing to obtain one. You have a proven track record of driving positive results through business acumen. You excel at managing shifts while inspiring and developing others in a dynamic environment. You can work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced setting with shifting priorities. You are physically able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds and can stand or walk for extended periods. You effectively communicate and comprehend instructions in a busy, loud atmosphere.
