Job Description: This role involves inspecting, installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of machinery and equipment throughout a facility. The position requires interpreting maintenance requests, diagrams, and mechanical concepts to diagnose problems, plan repairs, and install or relocate equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, furnaces, and machine tools. Duties include preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and assisting with instrumentation and calibration. The job also involves operating cranes and material-handling equipment, maintaining parts inventory and updated schematics, ensuring safety and cleanliness, assisting coworkers, and performing additional tasks as assigned. Job Responsibilities: Should be able to work on multiple systems: Mechanical systems: Bearings, gears, chains, belts Pumps, valves, compressors Conveyor systems Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Electrical knowledge: Reading, wiring diagrams and schematics Troubleshooting motors and controls Working with sensors, relays and drives Basic PLC troubleshooting (not always programming) Fabrication: Welding (MIG, TIG, and stick) Cutting, grinding, drilling Basic machining and alignment Troubleshooting: Diagnose machine failures quickly Perform root cause analysis Use multimeters and diagnostic tools Prevent recurring equipment failures Maintenance Knowledge: Schedule inspections Lubrication Parts replacement before failure Rapid repairs during breakdowns Minimizing production downtime Experience with CMMS systems is a plus. Shift/Hours: 7am-3:15pm, Monday-Friday. Job Requirements 3-5 years in industrial maintenance, manufacturing or facilities maintenance Experience in industries like manufacturing, food processing, packaging, distribution centers or chemical plants.
