AI Strategy & Implementation InternshipFS Food GroupUp to 12 weeks| 20-25 hours per week This position requires you to be in office located in Charlotte, NC. FS Food group is a multi-brand restaurant organization seeking a motivated and technically strong computer science or data science student for a hands-on applied AI internship. This is not a research position. This is an opportunity to build practical AI and automation tools inside a live operating business. The selected candidate will work directly with leadership, finance, operations, marketing, and IT teams to identify opportunities where data analysis, automation, and machine learning can improve efficiency and decision-making. Internship Focus: Identify and scope 2-3 applied AI or automation projects. Work directly with operational datasets (sales, labor, inventory, reservations, catering) Build dashboards, forecasting models, or reporting automations Develop tools that reduce manual processes and improve visibility into performance Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership Example Project Areas: Labor forecasting and scheduling insights Catering sales analytics Menu and margin analysis Automated executive reporting dashboards Internal AI tools to support training and operations Technical Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, or related field. Working knowledge of Python and SQL Experience analyzing structured data Comfortable working with CSV exports, APIs, or basic data connectors Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into business insight. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) Exposure to applied machine learning or workflow automation. Work schedule Monday to Friday
